Failte gu Eilean a Cheo! ( Welcome to The Isle of Skye!)

I have been fishing for over 50 years and enjoy passing on my knowledge and experience of this fascinating sport.

I live here on the wonderful Isle of Skye in the North West Highlands of Scotland and have a family connection that goes back many generations.

I offer fly fishing tuition and guided fishing expeditions to loch, stream and river on the Island. I can tailor your fishing break to your specific requirements and can provide expert guidance to catch that most elusive of fish “Salmo Salar” the wild Atlantic Salmon.

Trout abound in the many lochs and all are hard fighting wild fish.

Salmon and sea-trout run our streams and rivers right through from early June until the end of the season in October.

Whether you are an experienced angler or new to fly fishing why not add a day or half day fishing course or ghillied angling to your holiday here on the Isle of Skye.

The season can become busy from May onwards so pre booking is recommended.

Best Tackle
Trout/ Sea Trout:
9/10 Foot Single handed Fly Rod and line 7/9.
Salmon:
As above except if fishing rivers in spate when a double handed 13 foot rod is recommended.

It’s hard to believe but thanks to you each of the three of us caught our very first ever salmon. You know your subject and thanks again.
